And now for something completely different?

From a swamp somewhere out in left field:

The Ivory-billed Septic

(No that isn't a typo).

At first glance it looks like just a spoof of Tom Nelson and his band of skeptics, but it turns out to be a spoof on everyone and the whole over-the-top phenomenon. I particularly like the character names, with Clammy Lester a.k.a. Amy Molester and the IBWO-orthotic battling with Implodes and Psychothrush (if these names mean nothing to you, consider yourself lucky). Since it's a parody of everyone, maybe no one will take it too personally?

Interesting how Tomboy has yet to post a link on his blog--could we conclude he isn't amused? And have you noticed how the number of comments has been declining at his blog? What ever happened to the early regulars such as El Carpintero, Methinks and, especially, Amy Lester? All seem to have disappeared. Maybe they're ticked off by the global warming thing? Perhaps tiring of the constant attacks on others, now that it's more about confrontation with others rather than a debate about the data? His stock might no longer be a viable long-term option among the skeptics--but I suspect the value of his stock will soar among the septics.

Nope, it's not me, though I suspect you're not the only one thinking that. I have no idea who it is, and I haven't contributed anything to it either.

Maybe it's just a really clever script that takes random bits off Nelson's site and rearranges them?

Bill, I'm no script. I thought I was you, or you was me, before the head explosion?

Bingo.

I fear that Tom is a Republican moron. He's right about the IBWO but passionate about it for the wrong reasons.

When performing his global warming denier shtick, he trots out the same logical fallacies, empty arguments, and goalpost moving strategies that are abused by the IBWO faithful.

Sad, really.
