Our Favorite Minnesota Blogger...
..is at it again. Just in case y'all missed it, Ol' Tommy Nelson, debunker of global warming and Ivory-billed Woodpeckers, has turned his attention to debunking Barack Obama:

So, at this point, can there really be much doubt left that his true motive in his Ivorybill "analyses" was actually the discrediting of wildlife and habitat conservation at the private, government, and scientific levels, and NOT the quest for rigorous scientific understanding? And could the parallels in his flawed lines of "reasoning" and "evidence" in all three of his blogging efforts be any more obvious? The man is obviously a right-wing political activist, not any kind of honest journalist or scientist.

Now we can't even read his blog unless we're "invited"?! That's a new one on me.
any of the 'blogspot' blogs can be set on "invitation only" -- it's just not a setting used very often (Tom probably had few readers there to begin with). With the election over, he may not even be posting anymore... just sulking.
Tom Nelson lives in North Oaks, Minnesota. Its a very richy PRIVATE community where you have to be pretty damn wealthy to live there!
I have not heard of Tom since the IBWO days. In fact no birders I know in Minnesota hears about Tommy anymore.
The good news is that:
1. Barrack Obama is president 2. GOP is dead 3. Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage and Sarah Palin all do not matter any more!!

...or maybe he and his buddies are now using the blog to secretly plot a coup?
I just find it hilarious that a blog of all things would become "invitation only." It's like shouting from a soapbox, and once a crowd forms, hiring people to put their hands over the ears of most of the folks who showed up.
Limbaugh and Hannity do not seem to be very proficient at wielding overt power, let alone coups d'etat. People forget that both of them absolutely blasted McCain in 2005 for cutting a deal with democrats and predicted that he would have hell to pay. Well, I guess some people might consider the republican nomination hell. Then of course they both endorsed him. Can't knock him down, can't prop him up. Impressive record.
there are reasons for 'invitation only' blogs when you only want to communicate to family or another small group of folks/friends, but that doesn't apply to Tom's blog -- he probably doesn't want to delete it, but with the election over there's no point keeping it out there like some Jerome Corsi hatchetjob, so he's just put it on hold the only way he can.
Never fear though, his global-warming-is-a-liberal-conspiracy blog is still up-and-spewing.
